Event eMailing is a special form of eMailing. It is not sent once on a specific date, but at intervals you specify to a defined target group. This could be, for example, birthday eMails or eMails that are to be sent to the corresponding profiles in the target group over a certain period of time after registration. You create a new event eMailing in the eMailings folder by clicking on +New/eMailing (Event). You can use a normal eMail template for this.
Create eMailing (Event)
Event eMailings are created in the eMailings folder with a click on + New, eMailings (Event).
Deactivated Event eMailings can be recognized by the grayed out icons in the list view of the folder.
If you misconfigure your target group, you can annoy your customers very quickly, for example if they receive the same emails every day. Therefore, test these eMailings or the target group to be used in detail.
All settings - until the transmission - are identical to the e-mailing. The only difference is the configuration of the transmission time. Here, you must also define the intervals at which the event eMailing should be sent. You can start transmission by setting the checkbox to Active, and stop sending by unchecking it. The advantage of this process is that once a configuration has been created, it is not discarded when you stop the transmission.
- Activate/deactivate event eMailing
- Target group to which the eMail is to be sent
- Time interval in which the eMail is to be sent again
- Do not carry out transmission at the weekend
- Set the start time for the transfer
You can only edit the event eMailing if the sending has been deactivated.
The system displays running event eMails within the folder Mail transfers. There - identical to the normal dispatch - the statistics can be viewed.
The periods of the integrated open/click and unsubscribe statistics are extended to up to one year for event eMailings.
You can reset the entire statistics, e.g. to delete opening or click data from functional tests.
