Under the AI Act’s transparency requirement, AI-generated content must be labeled as such under certain conditions. A "generated by AI" label is mandatory, particularly for image, video, and audio material that depicts real people, places, or events in a deceptive manner (so-called deepfakes). This label must be clearly visible.

Use the AI image generator to label AI-generated images.
If you add a corresponding phrase to the prompt for the AI image generator, a notice will appear in the final generated image. The text passage below can be customized to meet individual requirements and added to the specific AI image generator.
- To label AI-generated content, a corresponding passage is inserted at the end of the prompt, e.g.:
Finally, add a small note in the bottom left corner with the exact wording "AI-generated" (maximum 80 pixels x 20 pixels) to indicate that it is AI-generated content. The label must be clearly visible. - A suitable image template can be selected to ensure consistent presentation across multiple files.
- Checking the box ensures the stored image is included.
