A dynamic image is an image in SVG format (Scalable Vector Graphics) that can be enriched with TAL and personalisation variables. For output, the SVG file is automatically converted into a common image format (JPEG).
First create a graphic in a vector drawing programme (Adobe Illustrator or similar) and save it in SVG format.
Then upload the SVG graphic to the designated folder using drag & drop. Or select + New/Dynamic Image in the corresponding folder and paste the source code of the SVG graphic into the XML Template field. To personalise the image, insert a personalisation variable at the appropriate place in the XML template.
Upload SVG graphic
Drag and drop the prepared SVG graphic into the designated folder.
Preview of the SVG graphic
The SVG graphic still contains the sample text Salutation and Name, which may need to be replaced with the replacement variables.
Source code of the SVG graphic
In the source code of the SVG file, the replacement variables {$SALUTATION} and {$NAME} may need to be inserted at the "Salutation" and "Name" positions.
Integration
Under the tab Integration you can see the integration URLs for the image and make various settings. Similar to a normal image, various parameters such as width, height, format, etc. can be changed dynamically. When you have changed the settings of the image, click on Updateing. An individual link is then generated that you can use for integration.
If you want to use an image with a personalisation variable, it is mandatory to pass the profile ID with the replacement variable (,u={UID}). To do this, take the integration URL under the item Image display/URL(personalised) and insert it in the mailing under the tab Content/Content/Input fields in the corresponding input field. If you want to test the personalisation with an existing profile, take the UID of a profile and add it to the end of the integration URL (,u=profile ID).

Input field in the mailing
If you want to insert a personalised image, e.g. in the header, you must insert the integration URL in the INPUTFUELD provided for this purpose.
Note!
Please note that personalised images cannot be inserted in mailings via the image picker, but only via the corresponding input field (INPUTFIELD_...) under the tab Content/Content. In articles, however, personalised images can be inserted via the image picker. In addition, only replacement variables of existing fields in the pool can be used for personalised SVG graphics.
